  • You need to be up to date on any current or previous borrowing with Clockwise Credit Union.
  • No adverse credit (for example CCJs or payment defaults) in the last 12 months.
  • You must have the disposable income to meet the loan repayment.
  • Maximum loan term is 60 months.

  • You must be a homeowner for at least 3 years.
  • Employed for at least 3 years.
  • Have no adverse credit (for example CCJs or payment defaults) in the last 36 months.
  • Be up to date on any current or previous borrowing with Clockwise Credit Union.
  • Have the disposable income to meet the loan repayment.
All loans are subject to status and approval. Terms and conditions apply. If you do not meet the criteria for our Employer Payroll Partner Loan rates, or if you are unwilling to accept any special conditions that apply, then we may offer you a loan at our standard Personal Loan rates.

How to apply for payroll membership

Clockwise membership is free. If your employer is an existing partner (see list below), you can apply in a few steps:

  1. Apply for Clockwise membership and complete your details.
  2. Add a payroll deduction to your application when prompted.
  3. We will contact your employer to make the necessary arrangements so that payments are taken via payroll deduction.
If your employer is not an existing partner, please point them to the employers page.

How to change or cancel your payroll savings / loan deduction

Contact Clockwise directly to make any changes to your payroll deduction. We will arrange the new amount with your employer’s HR.

Just like high street banks and building societies, the money you hold with Clockwise is protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), up to £120,000 per person.

Clockwise’s maximum deposit limit is £85,000, so all eligible savings you can hold with us are fully covered. For joint accounts, each person is protected up to Clockwise’s maximum deposit limit.

FSCS protection is automatic and free. If your bank, building society or credit union were ever unable to return your money, the FSCS would refund you up to the £120,000 limit.
